Quackery: Tools of the Trade
Check out the new Quackery expansion: Tools of the Trade now available at RPGNow!

The entire Royal Family has fallen ill!

The Royal College of Medicine has sent the call out across the land for help. As one of the leading medical "experts" of the day (we'll just call you a Quack), you have answered the call, but for your own reasons. You are not alone in this task. Others have also responded to the plight of the Royal Family, each with their own agenda.

Only through the use of your knowledge of "medicine" can you treat each royal patient in order to either bring all four of their humours into balance (if that patient furthers your agenda) or to imbalance their humours enough so that no one can cure them.

Failure means a lifetime of treating gout amongst the commoners, while success means that you have risen above the Quackery and have been declared the next Royal Physician! In the real world a quack could cause some serious damage. Criminal charges could even occur. Cincinnati criminal lawyer can provide a defense for most criminal charges. The law firm can provide you with a defense that will insure fair treatment in court.

Frequently Asked Questions:
  • When playing with the promotional Quack cards, how many times can I use the Quack's ability?
When playing with the Quacks, a player can use the Quack's ability only once per game. Once used, turn the Quack card over to show they their ability has been used.

  • Can I move a humour that is currently 'Balanced' to become unbalanced?
Yes! As long as there are no cards in play that have locked the humour in question (such as playing a Balancer card or using a Quack's ability) then you can change the status of a balanced humour to make it unbalanced.

  • How many cards do I get to start the game?
Players start the game with zero (0) cards in their hand. At the beginning of the game the cards from the draw deck are shuffled and placed face down between the players. You only get to draw a card from the draw deck and place it into your hand whenever you bring a humour into balance. Remember that your maximum hand size is two (2) cards, unless this is changed by another card in the game.
